Common questions
How is net worth calculated?
Everything you own (savings, investments, property) minus everything you owe (loans and card dues).
What values should I use?
Today's market value for funds, shares, gold and property, and the outstanding balance for loans.
Should my home count?
Yes, at a realistic market value. Many people also track net worth without it, since you live there.
What is a good net worth?
It depends on age and income. Watching it grow each year matters more than any single number.
